In 1978 Robert Eickholt founded Eickholt Glass to allow for the development of new designs and decorating techniques for hand –blown glass art.

Paperweights, perfume bottles, eggs, vases and sculptures have been designed to reflect the artists obsession with the extraordinary, creating a distinctive line of fine art glass. Many of the exquisite designs incorporate the use of precious metals such as gold and silver, and rare oxides such as cobalt and copper. By combining the intriguing contrast of soft and bold colors, Eickholt Glass has mastered the use of depth and space to create a piece of incomparable beauty and personality all its own.

The finely crafted pieces released from the Eickholt Glass Studio have become a well-respected tradition. This reputation, earned by their one-by-one production method has led to great international acclaim for theColumbus, Ohio studio artists.
